From the search to managing the domain in My Domains.
- Search for your preferred name
Enter the name without an extension. The search checks availability and pricing across every supported .gy extension.
- Choose the best .gy extension
Compare .gy, .co.gy, .com.gy, .net.gy, .org.gy and .edu.gy, then select the available option that best matches the project.
- Select one to ten years
Choose the registration period. Two years or more costs less per year, and the total is shown before you pay.
- Enter the registrant details
At checkout, give the name and contact details of the person or organisation that will hold the domain. Your account is created at the same time.
- DNS is set up for you
New domains start on our managed DNS. If your website is hosted elsewhere, change the nameservers in My Domains after registration.
- Review the order and pay
Confirm the domain, years, registrant information, optional services and total, then select a supported payment method.
- The domain is registered
Card and MMG payments send the domain to the registry straight away. Other methods register it once we confirm the payment.
- Manage the domain from your dashboard
Use My Domains to view registry status, expiry, nameservers, security, renewal controls and supported add-ons.

Every extension below is open for registration. Choose the shortest, clearest address that is available.

Choose from 1 to 10 years before checkout. A longer term moves the expiry date further out, so you renew less often.

Registrant details and nameservers
The registrant details record who holds the domain and where registry notices go. Nameservers connect the domain to its DNS, website and email.
Registrant details
The registrant is the domain holder. Do not enter a temporary employee, contractor or unrelated party as the owner.
Nameservers
Changing nameservers changes where DNS records are managed. It does not change who owns the domain.
Paying and registration
Checkout shows the domain, term, extras and full total. The payment method decides when the domain goes to the registry.

- Confirmed automatically, and your domain goes to the registry straight away. It appears in My Domains once registered.
- Bank transfer, cheque or cash
- Registered as soon as we confirm the payment. Follow the instructions at checkout and give any reference or proof asked for.
- Bitcoin, USDC, USDT or Ethereum
- Registered once the payment is confirmed.
- Hold my order
- Choose Hold My Order and Contact Me to Pay and we will contact you to arrange payment.
A name is not reserved while a payment waits for confirmation. It is yours once the registry has registered it.
After registration
My Domains shows the registrant or an authorised manager the domain and its controls.
- Status and expiry
- Whether the domain is active, when it expires and when to renew.
- Nameservers and DNSSEC
- Change nameservers and DNSSEC records, and connect the domain to your services.
- Renewal and billing
- Renew by hand, turn on automatic renewal and check your payments.
- Security and transfers
- Check the registrar lock and get a new transfer code when an approved transfer needs one.
If something goes wrong
Checks for when a name is unavailable, a payment is pending or details are not accepted.
- The name shows as unavailable
- It may already be registered or reserved. Try another extension or a variation of the name. A WHOIS lookup shows its current status.
- The name is marked premium
- Premium names are one- and two-character names, such as a.gy or 7g.gy, and any name the registry marks as premium. They cost GYD $130,000 a year on top of the normal price. Our team approves premium orders before registration.
- The nameservers are rejected
- Check the spelling, remove spaces and use the exact hostnames from your DNS or hosting provider. An outside provider normally needs a primary and a secondary nameserver.
- The payment is still pending
- Payments we confirm by hand stay pending until we confirm them. Check the payment instructions and any reference or proof asked for at checkout.
- The domain is not in My Domains
- Check that the order is paid and the registration has completed. Refresh My Domains and check the confirmation email. Contact us if the order is complete and the domain is still missing.
- The registrant details are wrong
- Contact us straight away. Some changes may need verification or a formal update at the registry, especially after registration.

What information do I need to register a .gy domain?
The registrant's name and contact details, an email address for your account and a way to pay. Your account is created at checkout.
How long does .gy domain registration take?
An eligible available domain paid by an automatically confirmed method can be submitted directly to the registry within seconds. Confirmation-based payments are submitted after Revamped GY verifies the payment.
How much does it cost to register a .gy domain?
Every extension costs GYD $7,000 a year. Longer terms cost less: 5% off 2 years and 10% off 3 years or more. The total also depends on whether the name is premium and on any extras you add, and is shown before you pay.
Can I register .co.gy or .com.gy instead of .gy?
Yes. The search checks .gy, .co.gy, .com.gy, .net.gy, .org.gy and .edu.gy together so you can compare available extensions before checkout.
Do I need nameservers before registering?
No. New domains are set up on our managed DNS, so they work straight away. You can enter your web host's nameservers later in My Domains.
Who owns the registered domain?
The approved registrant entered during registration is recorded as the domain holder. Use accurate registrant details and keep the account information current.
What happens after I pay?
Automatically confirmed payments can trigger immediate registry submission. Manual or confirmation-based payments remain pending until verified, after which the registration is submitted and confirmation is sent.
Where do I manage the domain after registration?
Open My Domains from your Revamped GY account to review status, expiry, nameservers, registrar lock, DNSSEC, renewal settings, transfer codes and supported add-ons.
